Joe Speedboot (expats)

After Fransje Hermans (Daan Buringa) ends up in a wheelchair due to a bizarre accident, he can no longer move or speak, except for one functional arm. As a result, he seems doomed to spend his days in the sleepy village of Lomark, living a hopeless life. However, that changes when the charismatic and reckless newcomer Joe Speedboat (Tobias Kersloot) arrives. An unlikely friendship develops with Fransje. Will it help him realise his passionate dreams and satisfy his desire for the enchanting PJ (Qiqi van Boheemen)? Or is he just another project for the adventure-seeking Joe?

Tommy Wieringa is one of the most populair Dutch writers. So now his most successful novel has finally been made into a movie.
